Frequently Asked Questions.
Is Therapy Worth the Investment?
Therapy can feel like a big investment of time, energy, and money. If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, grow through challenges, and create lasting change, therapy can become one of the most meaningful commitments you make to yourself. It offers a consistent, supportive space where you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
What Is Psychotherapy and How Can It Help Me?
Psychotherapy at Flow of Life Psychotherapy is a collaborative process designed to support personal growth and deeper self-understanding. Through safe, non-judgmental conversations, you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and work toward meaningful change.
How Do I Know If You Are the Right Therapist for Me?
Finding the right fit is important. I offer a warm, grounded space where you can show up as you are, without pressure or judgment. If you value reflection, growth, and a flexible, thoughtful approach to therapy, we may work well together. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide.
What If I Feel Nervous About Starting Therapy?
It’s completely normal to feel uncertain at the beginning. Therapy is a collaborative space where we move at your pace. There’s no expectation for you to have everything figured out, just a willingness to explore your experiences with honesty and care.
What Issues Can I Bring to Therapy?
You’re welcome to bring any emotional, mental, or relational concerns. I commonly work with clients navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and emotional overwhelm.
Do I Need a Referral or a Mental Health Care Plan?
No, you don’t need a GP referral or a mental health care plan to access my services. Therapy with me is designed to be straightforward, flexible, and accessible without extra barriers.
What Are Your Fees?
My standard fee is $135 per session, reflecting the typical out-of-pocket cost after a Medicare rebate. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those experiencing financial hardship.
What Languages Are Sessions Offered In?
I offer therapy in both English and Thai (นักจิตบำบัดคนไทยในออสเตรเลีย) to support clients from diverse backgrounds.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and needs. Some clients seek short-term support, while others benefit from longer-term work. We’ll discuss your preferences during our initial sessions.
Are Sessions Confidential?
