Hello! I’m Mae, a bilingual psychotherapist offering therapy in English and Thai.

I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and moved to Australia in my late twenties to pursue a new passion and become a psychotherapist (นักจิตบำบัดคนไทยในออสเตรเลีย).

My path to becoming a psychotherapist wasn’t a straight line. It was shaped by a growing fascination with self-discovery, a desire to live more authentically, and the belief that meaningful change is always possible, no matter where we start from.

Growing Through Life

I grew up following a path that many people take: school, university, and a stable job in marketing. I had good times, friendships, and moments of success. But looking back, there was little space for self-reflection. Life felt like a series of steps I was supposed to take, without much questioning of whether they truly fit me.

Over time, a deeper longing began to emerge. I realized how much I was drawn to understanding people, not just on the surface, but in the complexity of their inner worlds. I became fascinated by the process of growth, by how much we can learn about ourselves, and by the possibility that we can always start again.

Choosing to leave my career behind and move to Australia to study psychotherapy was one of the biggest steps outside my comfort zone I had ever taken. It was not easy. It stretched me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Yet through the loneliness, homesickness, cultural differences, and uncertainties, I grew more in a few years than I had in decades.

Returning to Curiosity and Joy

Self-discovery became not just an interest but a way of living. I learned that growth is not about being perfect or having all the answers. It is about becoming more honest with ourselves, more compassionate with our experiences, and more open to change.

Along the way, I reconnected with something essential to who I am — a love of creativity, playfulness, and exploration.

I believe that when we stay connected to a sense of play, we stay open to life. Like creating or experiencing art, we find that meaning is not handed to us. It is something we discover through feeling, curiosity, and reflection.

In therapy, I hold this same attitude: every person is a unique and unfolding work of art, never meant to be reduced to just one way of being.

“We can begin again at any point in life. Growth is always available, wherever we are, and however we have lived until now.”

How I Hold Space Today

Today, I bring all of these experiences into my work as a therapist.

I offer a grounded, compassionate space where growth is not rushed or forced, but gently supported. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and flexible, shaped by your values, your pace, and your hopes for change.

Therapy can be a place to explore new ways of living, to reconnect with your own inner voice, and to let go of patterns that no longer feel true to you.

If you feel ready to invest in your growth and deepen your connection with yourself, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
